Welcome to Food Tunnel – The Journey of Food.

Why Food Tunnel?  Well, what do you think of when you hear that?  For me, I think of the journey of food in our bodies – it’s just one big tunnel from beginning to end, not to mention the fact that our food gets transported through many tunnels on the highways of our world.  My name is Michelle, and I will be your guide on the food tunnel journey.  Whether it’s a recipe I concocted myself, or a review of a cookbook, I’ll have it here.  I’ll also give reviews of restaurants, either in my neighborhood, or that I have been to.  I’m hoping to make this blog a monthly blog.

By the way, I would love to have your feedback.  If you have feedback, or if you have a good response, feel free to do so.  I will put them in a book when the time comes.

    Thanks,Michelle. I will let you know when my book, Almost Eden is out. It would be wonderful if you did and interview or blog about it!

    Nice blog. I discovered stevia for the first time two years ago. I have to mail order the seed or plant as it is a hard to find herb. I love it. And, you’re right. It is sweeter than sugar by far.
    One way I like to use it is in my rosemary potatoes. I use little new potatoes, boil them until almost ready. Than transfer them to a frying pan that has olive oil, butter and a strip of bacon. I toss in some minced garlic, rosemary and stevia. Delicious 🙂

    • Thanks for your wonderful comments Kim. I look forward to reading your book. I grew stevia one year, but didn’t know how to use it in cooking as a raw herb at the time. Your recipe sounds delicious!
